The Highland Book Fairs Tour 2012 has been touring since April, already visiting Torridon, Ullapool, Kyleakin and Dornoch.  Next leg of the tour will take place in Dornie Hall, beside the beautiful and world-famous Eilean Donan Castle. Four booksellers have joined together to bring a large selection of children’s, secondhand, special interest and collectable books into small Highland communities, giving local people the opportunity to browse a unique collection and talk directly to the booksellers about their topics of interest.
Picaresque Books offers a huge variety of Antiquarian, Fine Bindings, First Edition, Scottish, Illustrated, Children’s and Local History books, together with maps and book ends;  an eclectic mix of interesting and keenly priced books....Something for everyone.
High Flight Books – owned by glider pilot Bill Anderson - specializes in aviation material with books on aircraft manufacturers, the RAF, aviation history, autobiographies of aviators and Flying in WW1. As well as books covering every aspect of flight and flying, there is a good general stock of books including military history, mountaineering, maritime and local books, plus sections on travel, children's, classics, local history, the environment, humanism and the arts.
Ablekids – owned by children’s author Pauline Mackay – is a children’s bookseller of new books only. As well as a range of board, cloth, novelty, picture, hardback and paperback books for children from birth to teens, Ablekids specializes in Gaelic and Bilingual resources in almost 40 languages.
The Olde Moss Books  sells a variety of secondhand books on Scotland, Travel, Children's, English History, Africa, Asia, rare First Editions, Gardening, Classic Penguins, Novels, Bios, Music and general interest.
Also attending the Dornie Fair will be
• Russell Turner, co-author of ‘Eilean Dubh’ who will be signing books and selling his wonderful photographs
• Granny Watson’s Gems
• Pauline Mackay will be signing copies of her latest picture book ‘Wee MacNessie’ which has been published in English plus 6 bilingual editions.
