Lochalsh Arts Fair

 “…excitingly varied and of a high standard.” “…an event that I very much hope will be repeated.” - West Highland Free Press.

 The first annual Lochalsh Art Fair was held in August 2009 in Dornie Hall.

 It was a great success with around 120 paintings from over 30 local artists. Over 700 people visited the exhibition, as well as local school groups. 

 Surpluses from the event will be divided between Dornie and Achmore village halls, and the organizers have also decided to purchase one painting each year to build up a local art collection which can be loaned out for community and educational purposes.

 We would like to thank all who helped out, especially Biz Campbell on behalf of the Highland Council, and the Dornie Hall committee.
